Nourish & Heal: Reiki-Infused Skin Therapy Balm

$35.55

The skin is our largest organ—a dynamic, living barrier that protects, nourishes, and supports the rest of our body.

Beyond being a protective shield, it regulates temperature, excretes toxins through sweat, and absorbs nutrients, making it one of the most vital systems for overall health.

But what most people forget is that the skin absorbs anything you put on it — good or bad — directly into your bloodstream.

This makes your daily choices in skincare profoundly impactful—not just for your skin, but for your overall health.

Unfortunately, conventional creams and lotions often contain hidden dangers: artificial fragrances, parabens, and chemical preservatives that disrupt hormones, trigger inflammation, and burden your body with toxins. Nourish & Heal: Reiki-Infused Skin Therapy Balm offers a thoughtful, toxin-free alternative. Crafted with nutrient-rich, organic and plant-based ingredients, and reiki’s healing energy, it works in harmony with your skin’s natural functions to soothe, repair, and protect.

Ideal for sensitive, eczema-prone, psoriatic, and delicate skin, this balm is a gentle remedy for an array of skin concerns, including redness, itching & inflammation, scars, stretch marks, burns, wounds, and dryness.

The Hidden Toxins in Mainstream Skincare – A Wake Up Call

Your skin absorbs more than you think, and many lotions and creams on the market are loaded with minimally-regulated chemicals silently wreaking havoc on your body.

  • PFAS (Per- and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances): Dubbed "forever chemicals," PFAS are used in skincare and cosmetics to increase product spreadability and water resistance. However, PFAS are linked to serious health concerns, including hormone disruption, immune system suppression, and an increased risk of cancer. Studies have also shown that these chemicals persist in the environment and can accumulate in human tissue over time (Whitehead et. al, 2021).

  • Parabens: A common preservative that disrupts hormones by mimicking estrogen, and are linked to breast cancer, reproductive issues, and premature aging due to their interference with collagen synthesis (Darbre & Harvey, 2008).

  • Artificial Fragrances: Often masking a cocktail of up to 4,000 chemicals, these “fragrances” can lead to irritation, hormone imbalance, and even cancer.

  • Phthalates: Common in beauty products to increase flexibility in plastics, phthalates are linked to hormonal disruptions, birth defects, and fertility problems. They have also been shown to accumulate in the body, increasing toxicity over time (Hauser et al., 2006).

Choosing natural, toxin-free alternatives ensures your skin—and your body—are not burdened by these harmful ingredients.

Evidence-Driven Relief for Sensitive Skin

As a Registered Nurse, I prioritize not only clean, natural ingredients but also proven effectiveness. Every recipe, potion, and creation I make is rooted in evidence-based research, ensuring safety and efficacy for even the most sensitive skin types.

  • Eczema & Psoriasis Relief: Studies show that lavender, frankincense, chamomile, and copaiba reduce inflammation, relieve itching, and promote healing of dry, flaky skin common in eczema and psoriasis (Tisserand & Young, 2014; Arruda et al., 2022; Srivastava et al., 2010).

  • Healing Scars & Stretch Marks: Frankincense, patchouli, and geranium promote cell regeneration, helping fade the appearance of scars and stretch marks (Boukhatem et al. 2013).

  • Wound & Burn Recovery: Lavender and manuka oil are known for accelerating wound healing and protecting against infection, while shea butter and grapeseed oil support deep tissue repair (Loden, 2003; Mathew et al., 2020).

  • Deeply Hydrating: Shea Butter, coconut oil, and grapeseed oil provide lasting hydration, restoring moisture balance and leaving your skin soft, supple, and resilient (Agero & Verallo-Rowell, 2004).

  • Stress-Reducing Aroma: The soothing essential oil blend goes beyond skin deep — engaging your olfactory system, stimulating the limbic system of the brain, which regulates emotions, stress levels, and even memory. The gentle, therapeutic aromas of lavender, chamomile, frankincense, and patchouli promote relaxation, reduce cortisol (and anxiety) levels, stabilize mood, and support whole-body healing (Soares et al., 2022). Safe for the Whole Family

Safe for all ages, including young children, pregnant women, and nursing mothers

Our balm is formulated at an incredibly safe 0.5% dilution rate for young, fragile, and sensitive skin while retaining ample healing benefits. Chamomile, lavender, copaiba, and frankincense are especially gentle, making this balm suitable for sensitive skin and those prone to eczema or psoriasis (Tisserand & Young, 2014).

Nature’s Skin Healers

Our carefully curated formula uses only the purest, organic* ingredients, chosen for their proven healing, anti-inflammatory, and nourishing properties. Each ingredient plays a vital role in restoring your skin’s natural balance and supporting overall skin health.

  • Whipped African Shea Butter: Renowned for its high concentration of vitamins A and E, shea butter has long been used to soothe and deeply hydrate the skin. It helps improve skin elasticity, making it perfect for healing stretch marks and scars (Loden, 2003).

  • Coconut Oil: A natural emollient, coconut oil helps to lock in moisture, protect the skin barrier, and provide antimicrobial benefits, making it ideal for soothing dry and irritated skin (Agero & Verallo-Rowell, 2004).

  • Grapeseed Oil: Light and easily absorbed, grapeseed oil is rich in antioxidants and essential fatty acids that promote skin repair and reduce inflammation.

  • Manuka Oil: Rich in powerful antibacterial, antifungal, antiviral, and anti-inflammatory properties, manuka oil helps protect against infection while promoting the healing of wounds, scars, and burns (Mathew et al., 2020).

  • Lavender Essential Oil: Calming, anti-inflammatory, and healing, lavender is known to soothe irritated skin, reduce redness, and promote faster healing of wounds and burns. Also, lavender’s gentle antimicrobial properties reduce the risk of infection in damaged skin (Tisserand & Young, 2014).

  • Frankincense Essential Oil: This sacred oil is prized for its anti-inflammatory and skin-regenerative abilities.  A recent study found frankincense serves as an excellent anti-psoriatic agent by targeting major cytokines (TNF-α, IL-17, IL-13, IL-23, and IL-36γ,) exacerbated in psoriasis, and inflammatory pathways (Halim, et al 2020). Check out the full research [here].

  • Chamomile Essential Oil: Known for its exceptional ability to calm inflammation, itching, and redness, chamomile is ideal for treating eczema, psoriasis, and burns (Srivastava et al., 2010).

  • Copaiba Essential Oil: With its extremely potent anti-inflammatory effects, Copaiba is highly effective for calming eczema and psoriatic flare-ups, soothing irritated skin, and promoting healing while being particularly gentle, for compromised, fragile, and sensitive skin (Arruda et al., 2022).

  • Geranium Essential Oil: A 2013 study concluded Geranium may be one of the best oils for diverse dermatological problems such as oily or congested skin, eczema, and dermatitis (Boukhatem et al. 2013). This skin-healing superstar balances sebum (oil) production, promotes hydration, and improves skin elasticity, making it ideal for soothing irritated, dry, or inflamed skin.

  • Cedarwood Essential Oil: Anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial, cedarwood helps calm inflammation, prevent infection, and promote skin healing, especially for dry and flaky skin conditions like eczema, psoriasis, and contact dermatitis (Kačániová, et al., 2022).

  • Patchouli Essential Oil: Known for its cell-regenerative properties, patchouli helps reduce the appearance of scars and stretch marks, while also providing anti-inflammatory and antibacterial protection, aiding in wound healing, and balancing the skin barrier (Liang et al., 2017).

    • Fun Fact! Patchouli oil’s powerful anti-inflammatory properties work by calming down certain molecules in the body that trigger inflammation (like cytokines). It also blocks specific proteins (called iNOS and COX-2) that are involved in causing inflammation. This is done by stopping a key pathway in the body called the NF-κB signaling pathway, which plays a big role in starting inflammation. Based on these results, Patchouli oil may serve as a useful therapeutic agent for the treatment of inflammatory diseases (Liang et al., 2017).

* We are dedicated to using high-quality, predominantly organic ingredients. Although some ingredients may not be available in organic form, we ensure our commitment to natural excellence remains unwavering.

* Note: Coconut oil, a key ingredient in our formula, melts at 76°F (24°C). If exposed to temperatures above this, the cream may become more liquid and lose its whipped texture. Simply place the jar in the refrigerator to re-harden and restore its luxurious consistency.

Nourish & Heal: Skin Therapy Balm – soothing skin’s most delicate needs.

With Nourish & Heal, you’re embracing skincare that’s as intentional as it is transformative.

All-in-One Skincare Remedy

Intentionally crafted to address a variety of everyday skincare needs, our healing balm offers effective, natural relief for your skin’s optimal health, resilience, and radiance.

  • Eczema & Psoriasis Relief: The anti-inflammatory and healing properties of essential oils like lavender, chamomile, and copaiba reduce redness, itching, and irritation, promoting smoother, healthier skin.

  • Minor Cuts, Scrapes, & Burns: With ingredients known for their antimicrobial and regenerative properties, this balm aids in healing minor wounds while soothing discomfort and protecting against infection.

  • Razor Burn: The calming blend helps reduce irritation, redness, and inflammation from shaving, while hydrating the skin to prevent dryness and ingrown hairs.

  • Everyday Hydration: Apply as a full-body moisturizer to keep your skin soft, smooth, and hydrated throughout the day, especially in dry climates or harsh winter conditions.

  • Post-Sun Care: Soothe and replenish skin after sun exposure, helping to reduce redness, calm irritation, and prevent peeling.

  • Hand and Foot Balm: Ideal for deeply nourishing dry, cracked hands and heels, restoring softness and preventing further damage.

  • Preventative Barrier: Use on frequently washed areas, like hands, to create a protective layer against moisture loss and external irritants (great for healthcare workers, those in the food industry, mechanics, etc).

Directions for Application

Eczema & Psoriasis: Apply a small amount to affected areas 2-3 times daily. Gently massage into the skin to reduce itching, redness, and inflammation.

Burns & Wounds: Apply a thin layer to soothe irritation, promote healing, and protect against infection. Reapply as needed.

Scars & Stretch Marks: Massage the balm onto scars and stretch marks daily to encourage skin regeneration and fade their appearance over time.

Dry Skin: Use as a daily moisturizer on dry patches, hands, feet, or any area that needs extra nourishment. The balm absorbs quickly, leaving your skin soft and hydrated.

The What, Why, & How of Essential Oils

What: Essential oils are concentrated, aromatic liquids extracted from plant materials (such as flowers, leaves, stems, roots, bark, or fruits) to harness their potent healing properties in purest form.

Why:Nature's most powerful gift to us, essential oils offer profound relief for a wide range of skin concerns—from dryness and inflammation to cellular repair. Each oil works synergistically to support your skin’s natural healing process, as well as deliver emotional and mental benefits that go beyond mere skincare.

How:The oils in Nourish & Heal work together to soothe a variety of skin conditions including eczema and psoriasis through powerful anti-inflammatory and skin-regenerative properties.

-Lavender, cedarwood, and chamomile reduce inflammation, irritation, redness, and itching by inhibiting inflammatory cytokines (Arruda et al., 2022).

-Frankincense, patchouli, and copaiba promote healing by blocking inflammatory enzymes and stimulating skin regeneration (Srivastava et al., 2010; Halim, et al 2020; Liang et al., 2017).

-Geranium helps balance moisture and supports collagen production to repair damaged skin, while patchouli stimulates cell turnover and reduces scars and stretch marks (Boukhatem et al., 2013; Liang et al., 2017).

Together, they alleviate redness, itching, and inflammation, promote hydration, and support the skin’s natural barrier—making them perfect for sensitive, irritated skin.
